In recognising that poor performance at school was only rarely due to lack of
intelligence, Frau Erna Lehmann founded the boarding school Kurpfalz-Internat
in 1961. For almost 50 years, intelligent pupils who had previously been performing
badly at school have been receiving intensive help in classes of max. 7 pupils.
Their deficits are systematically made up and they are brought up to Realschulabschluß
or Abitur level.
Today the school is run by Helge Lehmann, Dip. Psych., and Mario Lehmann, law
graduate.
In 1994, the private boarding grammar school Schloß Torgelow was also opened by the
Lehmann family. Pupils capable of high achievement are especially challenged
and can attain the Abitur after 12 years.
