Birthday party 60 years Kurpfalz Boarding School
At the end of the 2021/2022 school year, the Kurpfalz boarding school celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of the boarding school with its former students. Due to COVID, the celebration had to be postponed for a year. The current students and teachers transformed the school and boarding premises into a summer party location and were delighted to celebrate joyfully with the alumni.
From 3:00 PM, over 250 former students and colleagues were expected on the campus in Bammental. The guests could look forward to a colorful program: The school band played for the welcome, the theater project represented the founding family and looked back on the life of the school and boarding school founder Erna Lehmann, at the “Shark Attack,” participants could showcase their fitness and reaction speed, a creative wall invited everyone to write texts, and there were opportunities to take photos with friends that could be taken home as souvenirs.
“Snappy” ceremony with “witty” speeches
At the official ceremony, the first student of the Kurpfalz Boarding School, Helge Lehmann, explained once again the reasons that led his mother to establish the boarding school over sixty years ago. The former head of the boarding school, Mike Homer, and the mayor of the municipality of Bammental, Mr. Karl, delivered engaging speeches, and Mario Lehmann, head of the Kurpfalz Boarding School, concluded the successful event in the atrium of the new school building with his words. A special guest was also the 84-year-old first graduate of the Kurpfalz Boarding School, who had completed his Abitur in 1963.
Time to enjoy and celebrate
After the festive ceremony, the guests joyfully flowed through the musical contributions, among others to the “Café Station,” took guided tours to see the school and boarding house facilities, or reminisced with old friends. After a refreshment at the various food stations and a magical fireworks display, they were able to dance and celebrate into the night.
Our conclusion
It was lovely! Thank you to everyone who made the day and evening special.
