An eventful week was experienced by the 7. and 8th grades on their class trip to Todtnauberg. From canoeing on the Schluchsee to exhilarating descents on the summer toboggan run, and an exciting day at Europa-Park, there was something for everyone. Accompanied by their teachers, the students enjoyed varied days full of adventure, teamwork, and fun \u2013 an experience that will surely be remembered for a long time. <\/em><\/p>\n\n From September 29 to October 3, the 7. and 8th grade together with Ms. Meessen, Mr. Kiesel, Mr. Wiesenberg, and Ms. Zielbauer on the way to Todtnauberg in the Black Forest. The school trip started on Monday morning with a relaxed journey and an exceptionally friendly bus driver. Around noon, everyone arrived at the youth hostel, where the first adventure was waiting after checking in and having lunch. A hike to the Todtnau waterfalls led through stunning nature and offered many beautiful views. After dinner, most of them fell into bed exhausted but happy \u2013 a successful start to the week. <\/p>\n\n On Tuesday, a trip to Lake Schluchsee was initially on the agenda. There, the students were allowed to go canoeing \u2013 sometimes in pairs, sometimes in large groups of up to ten people. Teamwork and coordination were required, and despite minor paddle duels, everyone visibly enjoyed themselves. In the afternoon, another highlight followed: the visit to the summer toboggan run in Todtnau. While some were hiking up the mountain with Mr. Kiesel and Ms. Meessen, others comfortably took the gondola with Mr. Wiesenberg and Ms. Zielbauer. The subsequent descent on the approximately three-kilometer track delighted everyone \u2013 from leisurely rides to chasing speed records, everything was included. <\/p>\n\n Wednesday was all about adventure and team spirit. An exciting activity program took place around the youth hostel: During archery, fire-making, and other “survival” activities, the students were able to demonstrate their skill and creativity. The afternoon was free for personal use, which many took advantage of to go for a walk, visit the village shop, play basketball or football, or simply enjoy board games together. In the evening, the newly learned survival skills were put to the test around the campfire \u2013 a fitting conclusion to the day. <\/p>\n\n On Thursday came the probably most exciting day of the week: the visit to Europa-Park. Between thrilling roller coasters, white-water rides, culinary highlights, and leisurely strolls through the various themed areas, everyone found something to enjoy. After an eventful day, a barbecue was held in the youth hostel in the evening \u2013 organized and carried out by the students themselves, which provided a particularly nice conclusion to the day. <\/p>\n\n Friday finally marked the day of return travel. After breakfast, it was time to pack bags, tidy up the room, and say goodbye. The return trip went smoothly, and so everyone arrived back at the school safe and sound, tired but happy. <\/p>\n\n In closing, Ms. Meessen, Mr. Kiesel, Mr. Wiesenberg, and Ms. Zielbauer would like to sincerely thank all the students for the wonderful community, the good atmosphere, and the exemplary behavior throughout the entire week.
