The competition is strong. The Lions as well. In exciting competitions, they show what they are capable of. As a lucky charm at the start: the new Leo mascot.    <\/i><\/p>\n\n<p>Five students from our robotics project &#8211; Jessica, Angelina, Jasper, Noah, and Leander &#8211; participated together with their teacher and project leader, Ms. Meessen, in the regional competition of the First Lego League at the John Deere Forum in Mannheim. Under the team name &#8220;KPI-Robotlions,&#8221; they took on the challenge against twelve other teams in the disciplines of robotics parkour, research, and robotics design. In the parkour, they constructed and programmed their own autonomous robots, which had to solve various tasks on the playing field.  <\/p>\n\n<p>In Mannheim, the Robotlions showcased their strength with their research project on the year&#8217;s theme &#8220;Submerged,&#8221; where they presented algal fuel for marine expedition ships.<\/p>\n\n<p>The KPI Robot Lions truly &#8220;rocked&#8221; the competition and achieved fifth place out of twelve participating teams. We are incredibly proud of their achievements. Congratulations.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>For the competition:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.first-lego-league.org\/de\/\">FIRST LEGO League<\/a> is a STEM education program that has been around for more than 20 years and has established itself in 110 countries worldwide since then. In the countries of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the competition is organized under the auspices of the non-profit association HANDS on TECHNOLOGY (HoT) e.V. In Germany, 539 teams are competing in 42 competitions this season.
