An excursion full of fun and Christmas atmosphere.
Shortly after the opening, two German and two math advanced courses from the Kurpfalz boarding school, accompanied by their class teachers Ms. Pleger, Ms. Schmitz, Mr. Wegner, and Ms. Sauerbier, went to the Heidelberg Christmas Market. Already the arrival amid sparkling lights and the view of Heidelberg Castle brought sparkling eyes – and the scent of roasted almonds and mulled wine added to the experience.
After initial hesitation, about half of our students bravely ventured onto the ice rink – with Ms. Pleger right in the middle. Elegant and sometimes rather creative circles were made on the ice rink in front of the beautiful castle backdrop.
Meanwhile, the others warmed themselves at the mulled wine stand and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Afterward, we strolled together through the market, admiring sparkling lights and discovering plenty of loving gift ideas and wintry little things.
A completely successful trip full of fun and Christmas spirit – this is exactly how the Advent season should begin!
