A successful start to the new school year
With great anticipation and lots of energy, the Kurpfalz boarding school has begun the new school year 2025/2026. Already in the first days, classrooms, hallways, and living areas were filled once again with laughter, voices, and life, and there were many new faces to welcome: new students, new colleagues, as well as new team compositions in the boarding school.
As every year, the traditional barbecue was on the agenda to kick things off, an evening when the entire boarding community comes together to get to know each other, to exchange ideas, and of course, to have fun together. While the aroma of sausages and corn cobs wafted from the grill, everyone was getting ready for the highlight of the evening: the legendary team games.
Here, the captains of the four boarding school teams, Sharks, Grizzlies, Falcons, and Panthers, competed against each other along with their sponsors. The audience cheered loudly, as every discipline counted: horseshoe throwing, aiming table tennis balls into buckets, lifting thermoses full of water, and hammering nails into a log – skill, strength, and nerve were required.
In the end, the team Sharks narrowly prevailed and secured the victory. The Grizzlies placed second, followed by the Falcons in third place. Just behind them: the Panthers – Ms. König and her captain were very committed.
Even after the first round, it was clear: This is going to be an exciting school year! The teams are closely matched, and when the next competitions come in October, it means once again: give it your all for your own team – with passion, solidarity, and a big dose of fun.
As this evening has shown, what makes the Kurpfalz boarding school: community, joy, and a strong sense of togetherness to kick off a new school year.
