Christmas Market at Kurpfalz Boarding School 2024 a great success again
The team at the Kurpfalz boarding school traditionally organizes a magical Christmas market on the campus every year and collects donations for a good cause. In 2024, half of the proceeds went to the “Children’s Hospice Sterntaler” and “SOS Children’s Villages – worldwide.”
The magic of Christmas set in as early as mid-December 2024. The Christmas market of the Kurpfalz Internat once again attracted many visitors to Bammental to buy great DIY gift ideas, listen to the cultural program, and donate to social projects.
A Christmas market like in the past
This year, there were again fragrant body scrubs, delicious “DIY roasted almonds,” cozy crackling candles, homemade egg liqueur and granola, wonderful herb mixes, self-sewn children’s clothing, a great tombola, and much more. The KPI team had been intensively working on the little gift ideas in the past weeks and months.
In addition to the lovingly made products, the culinary delights were not neglected: there were homemade empanadas, waffles, crêpes, Greek specialties, potato soup, bratwurst, cotton candy, popcorn, and of course mulled wine and non-alcoholic punch. This year, Mr. Heuss, the assistant to the boarding school management, also made waves with his homemade “Langos.”
Many visitors appreciate the special atmosphere of the KPI Christmas market. The cultural program in the atrium of the new school building remains a true highlight. Here, attendees could experience the rockin’ KPI band, follow a theater play, be enchanted by the Bammental Accordion Club, and enjoy a ballet performance.
In addition, there was “face painting for kids,” a reading hour, a photo with Santa Claus, and a large book flea market. Delightfully “old school,” and perhaps that’s what makes it particularly beautiful.
Donations go 100% to social projects.
All proceeds from the Christmas market go to a good cause – all materials are donated by the Kurpfalz boarding school. The student parliament determines who the recipients of the donations will be. This year, they chose the “Sterntaler Children’s Hospice” and “SOS Children’s Villages – Worldwide.”
Thank you very much!
Mario Lehmann, managing director and organizer of the Kurpfalz boarding school, proudly announced the day after the Christmas market that 8,800 euros were raised this year. This sum was topped up by the KPI to 10,000 euros, so both projects can look forward to 5,000 euros each.
Thank you very much to all the visitors for the intensive support and the willingness to support the good cause.
SAVE THE DATE!
We’ll see each other on Thursday, December 18, 2025!
