A modern school with visions

School at the Kurpfalz Boarding School

Classes with a maximum of ten students

Many parents are dissatisfied with the public school system. In classes with 25 to 30 students, there is hardly any time for individual attention, answering questions, or personal conversations. Many students lose interest in the lessons and stop paying attention without the teacher noticing or being able to do anything about it.

At the Kurpfalz Internat, we want to have time for each individual. Therefore, our classes never have more than ten students. Our teachers are interested in their students and take advantage of the small class size to recognize each person’s strengths and weaknesses.

Every student has a part of the lesson. Everyone is important.

That our students can develop their potentials and improve their performance is thanks to effective teaching and the focused working atmosphere in the classroom. Here, everyone can ask questions and everyone is asked. Our experienced teachers take the time for each individual, review, explain, and are patient.

Thanks to the small classes, the teacher can constantly check whether the material has been understood. Knowledge gaps brought from home can usually be addressed through additional tutoring sessions and support measures.

The completion of homework has a fixed place in the daily schedule. A supervised study time in the afternoon, where homework is completed, complements the daily instruction. Here, the material covered in lessons is deepened through independent work. Higher-performing students have fewer mandatory study times, while students needing support have more.

Those who can learn independently and demonstrate this with good grades complete their homework independently in their room starting from the 10th grade and take responsibility for their learning success.

Our experience from over 60 years of Kurpfalz boarding school:

Already after a short time, new successes occur that motivate. The experience that effort is worthwhile and that it can be fun to be a good student is for many young people the key to a successful life.

The personal development of my students is particularly dear to me. The small class gives me the opportunity to get to know each student individually and to support them individually. We learn together and motivate each other.
