Scholarships for students
The Kurpfalz boarding school offers scholarships to interested students for attending school and boarding.
1. Applicant pool
Students from the gymnasium or secondary school who meet the admission requirements at the private Kurpfalz boarding school can apply for the scholarship. They should
- be willing to engage in the boarding school community,
- have social, musical, or athletic interests and
- demonstrate good academic performance.
2. Application procedure
Applicants must submit the following application documents by no later than May 31 of the year:
- A handwritten essay in which the applicant outlines their expectations for attending the Kurpfalz Internat and describes their extracurricular interests.
- a certificate folder with all certificates from the 1st grade of elementary school;
- a resume with personal details and areas of interest;
- a photo of the applicant;
- a reference letter from a teacher who teaches him/her;
- a consent form from the parents allowing the scholarship to be applied for;
- a copy of the latest income tax assessment of the parents or guardians and
- An explanation of the maximum possible monthly personal contribution towards school and boarding fees. If this information is missing, your scholarship application cannot be processed.
Please note that all documents must be complete by the application deadline. If the documents are not complete, the application will not be processed. Additionally, the applicant must have personally introduced themselves at the Kurpfalz boarding school before submitting the documents and must have received a confirmation of admission.

3. Selection of the Scholarship Recipients
After the submission of all applications, the written applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee.
4. Amount and duration of the scholarship
The scholarship is generally granted for full-day school attendance and amounts to up to €6,000.00 per year. In individual cases, higher scholarships may also be awarded. The amount will be deducted from the school and boarding fees.
The scholarship is generally granted until the high school diploma is obtained, provided that the funding requirements are met.
An extension request must be submitted annually by the deadline. The last certificate and the most recent income tax assessment are sufficient as attachments for this continuation application.
