The Kurpfalz Boarding School
Boarding School: Life in a Strong Community
When children and adolescents cannot develop their potential in school, it often takes a toll on family harmony. From numerous conversations with parents, we know that the ongoing conflict over homework, unsatisfactory test results, and disappointing report card grades strains the nerves of both parents and the child.
Already after a few weeks at the Kurpfalz boarding school, a relaxation of this conflict can be seen in most families, as during the week our experienced teachers and boarding school educators take care of academic success. They motivate, praise, and strengthen self-confidence.
Life at the boarding school
For most students, life in a boarding school is a new experience. Living together with peers is not only exciting, it is also fun. Anyone who considers living in a boarding school as a “punishment” certainly cannot be referring to the Kurpfalz boarding school.
The mentoring programs
In the boarding school, younger and older students, girls and boys have their own living areas: the mentorates. The upper school students live in the upper school building, in the gatehouse, or in the Bammentaler Hof, which was completed in 2012, while our lower and middle school students live and reside in the Berghaus.
Typically, two students share a comfortably furnished room that they can arrange to their liking. Each mentorship is supervised 24/7 by two educational staff members, the mentors. They are available day and night for the children and adolescents, helping with problems, ensuring order and behavior, and offering affection and guidance.
All employees at the boarding school are personally selected by the Lehmann family and are committed to the principles of a clear educational style. This ensures that the children and teenagers are always in good hands at the Kurpfalz Boarding School.
Quickly make friends
After just a few days, new students, for whom the thought of life in a boarding school initially seemed unfamiliar, realize how easy it is to make new friends here. They feel that they are not alone with their problems and that soon they will belong as an essential part of a strong community.

Orientation, self-confidence, and motivation
In a time when the world seems to be falling apart, it is important for us as a host family to support our students in their development into self-confident individuals and to instill in them important values for a successful life path.
Classes at the Kurpfalz boarding school never have more than 10 students
In classes with no more than TEN students, our dedicated teachers take the time for each individual. Here, everyone can ask questions and everyone is asked. Our teachers explain, review, and are patient. In the individual atmosphere of the small learning group, everyone gets the attention they deserve.
We see the POTENTIAL, not the weaknesses
Thanks to the effective teaching and the concentrated work atmosphere, our students get more out of their lessons. They learn that problems can be solved, successes motivate, and school can be fun. The positive feedback boosts their self-confidence and encourages them to reach their potential.
