Team games – Being strong together
All students at the Kurpfalz Boarding School are part of a team. They belong to either the Sharks, the Falcons, the Panthers, or the Grizzlies. Each team is led by a student captain and supported by a mentor from the management team.
At least once a month, the four teams compete against each other in game rounds. There are intense sporting competitions or exciting challenges that require skill and strategy. Of course, the students can also showcase their knowledge in classic trivia games. Throughout the entire school year, the teams collect points to win the team play cup. The regular matches and team events are highlights of boarding school life.
Developing common goals
As a team member, each individual must learn to integrate into their team, contribute, and fight for the points together with others. In the team, one must stand by each other, not be discouraged by setbacks, and pursue the set goals with perseverance. Motivation, ambition, and fairness are essential.

Team competition of the boarding schools: Schloss Torgelow vs. Kurpfalz-Internat
Since 2018, the winning team of the Kurpfalz boarding school has faced off against the winning team of the Schloss Torgelow boarding school in 15 games to prove which team wins the Champions League of team games. The home advantage alternates each year. Most recently, in 2024, the Sharks from the Kurpfalz boarding school won, while the title went to the Foxes from Schloss Torgelow in 2025. Both team fights were extremely close and were only decided in the final game. You can get a small impression in this video.
For most students, life in a boarding school is a new experience. Anyone who considers boarding school to be a “punishment” cannot be referring to Kurpfalz Boarding School.
Despite the option to go home, many students stay at the boarding school on weekends: the attractive weekend program is simply appealing.
Ski weekends, house competitions, obstacle races … boarding school life has many highlights to offer. The experiences in the boarding community shape and bond for a lifetime.

Classes at the Kurpfalz boarding school have no more than 10 students
In classes with no more than TEN students, our dedicated teachers take the time for each individual. Here, everyone can ask questions, and everyone is asked. Our teachers explain, review, and have patience. In the individual atmosphere of the small learning group, everyone receives the attention they deserve.
We see the POTENTIAL, not the weaknesses
Thanks to the effective teaching and the focused work atmosphere, our students benefit more from their classes. They learn that problems can be solved, successes are motivating, and school can be fun. The positive feedback strengthens their self-confidence and motivates them to realize their potential.
