An intensive work atmosphere and efficient learning in small classes can only lead to success in the long run if the students do not lose their enjoyment of classes. They need space and time to relax and discover new interests.
Projects at the Kurpfalz Boarding School
At Kurpfalz Internat, we offer a diverse project program in the afternoon and evening, where everyone can set their own focus. Tennis, golf, horseback riding, soccer, fencing, Build your Body, and basketball are very popular. Our sports field and two gymnasiums also provide ideal conditions for volleyball, badminton, dance, and table tennis. A modern fitness studio invites training. In cooperation with local partners, kickboxing, ice skating, swimming, and climbing are additionally offered.
Creative interests are best realized in the projects of art, band, model building, cooking, model trains, pastry making, and video. For students interested in crafts, we have set up a separate workshop where they can realize their own projects. We promote musical talents through individual music lessons and provide them with the opportunity to showcase their skills during school events.
The projects are supervised by our teachers and boarding school educators. For them, educational commitment means more than just the transfer of knowledge.
Together with their students, they organize the extensive project offerings in the afternoon and evening. In athletic competition and creative collaboration, they create a foundation for a compassionate coexistence.
In addition to the project program, we regularly attend theater performances, concerts, and other cultural events in the neighboring cities of Heidelberg and Mannheim. The older students take advantage of the good connections to nearby Heidelberg for a city stroll once a week. Our disco and the student café, which are operated by the students themselves, are also a popular meeting spot.
Special highlights of boarding school life include experiential educational activities, ski trips, study trips, and jointly organized boarding school days.
