A boarding school under family management
The Kurpfalz boarding school is a family business that has been guiding students towards their high school diploma or secondary school leaving certificate for over 60 years and providing support in the boarding school. The school and boarding community is characterized by strong solidarity, mutual support, and space for individuality.
Mario Lehmann is the owner and managing director of Kurpfalz Internat gemeinnützige BetriebsGmbH. He has been running the Kurpfalz Internat in the third generation. The boarding school was founded in 1961 by his grandmother Erna Lehmann. It was later continued by Helge Lehmann. Together with the management team, Mario Lehmann is responsible for around 90 colleagues and 170 students.
Our team
The Kurpfalz boarding school team consists of teachers, mentors (educators and social workers), administrative staff, the kitchen team, and the technical team. As a family business, we refrain from using external companies.
Together, our team supports, educates, and guides students from all over Germany and abroad.
We are there for each other.
The collaboration at the Kurpfalz Internat is characterized by helpfulness, team spirit, commitment, and trust. From the daily interactions, a strong network has emerged, and many friendships are developing.

The family atmosphere contributes to a strong continuity in all areas at the Kurpfalz boarding school. Many colleagues have been with us for many years and shape the school and boarding school through their commitment, ideas, and energy. We are proud that the staff feel very comfortable with us and engage intensively in their respective areas. At the same time, everyone is excited about the reinforcement from new colleagues, who enrich our team with fresh ideas.
