Football tournament at KPI – student team triumphs in the final
Just before the summer holidays, it became really exciting on the sports field of the Kurpfalz boarding school: In the school’s internal football tournament, five teams competed against each other – four motivated student teams and an ambitious teacher and mentor team with prominent members.
A special highlight: The boarding school director, Ms. König, also laced up her soccer shoes – as a former Bundesliga player, she was a formidable opponent on the field. Correspondingly, the motivation of the student teams to defeat the strong adult team was immense.
The tournament offered numerous exciting games and an enthusiastic audience that was well catered to by the student café team. With cool drinks, ice cream, grilled sausages, and summery music, everyone involved enjoyed the sporting atmosphere.
In the final, there was a showdown: a student team faced off against the mentor team. Despite a remarkable goal by Ms. König, the students displayed fighting spirit, creativity in play, and team spirit – and earned the tournament trophy with a deserving victory.

The football tournament was a great success – with sportsmanship, fair play, and a wonderful sense of community, just as it is loved at the Kurpfalz Boarding School.
