Intern Day 2025 – A Day for Community, Creativity, and Adventure
The boarding school day at Kurpfalz-Internat is a special tradition. Once a year, the focus is not on lessons or exam preparation, but on what makes life at the boarding school so special: friendship, diversity, curiosity, and the joy of shared experiences.
Castle tour and action park
A small, motivated group of eight students, along with three mentors, set out together for a very special destination: a castle with history and personal significance. One of the students lives there with his family. On site, the classmate himself took the lead through the magnificent rooms. With great enthusiasm, he shared the story of the castle’s origin, its history, and its use. For the group, it was an exciting journey into the past, very close, lively, and impressive.
After the historical part, the sports activities continued. In a nearby paintball arena, the students formed two teams. They ran, laughed, and played with a lot of team spirit for victory. Especially entertaining was the involvement of a mentor, who, in the end, played along and alternately intervened as a joker for both teams. It was a completely successful day with over 3,800 paintballs, plenty of movement, shared meals, and lasting memories.
Creativity and joy
Meanwhile, it became craft-oriented and creative in the art space. There, students put a lot of dedication into designing birdhouses. From simple kits, they created colorful, lovingly painted artworks. The atmosphere was focused and joyful, and one could feel how much pride was invested in each individual project.
Golfer on the way
A small group of golfers took advantage of the boarding day for a relaxed round at the Hohenharter Hof golf club. Three students, two colleagues who wanted to try the sport for the first time, and the head of the boarding school formed a cheerful team. Between swing exercises, chuckles, and sun rays, they played with focus, laughed, and tried new things.
Abi-study time with pizza
The day was also special for our high school graduates in their own way. They used the day for intensive preparation for the oral exams. In a calm atmosphere, they studied, practiced, and shared pizza in between. A small moment of motivation amid the exam routine.
Roller coaster riding at Europa-Park
Around 120 students set out early in the morning to the Europa-Park. The anticipation was palpable, and the mood was exuberant. On site, the groups explored the park independently. Roller coasters were tested, ice cream was eaten, cheers were heard, and there was a sense of wonder. Particularly popular were the Silver Star, the Blue Fire, and the haunted house. What made this day so special was not just the action, but also the shared experience. A whole day to deepen friendships, laugh, and feel completely free, away from schedules and to-do lists.
Tennis competition
Tennis enthusiasts also got their money’s worth during the Internal Day. An internal tennis tournament took place at the Bammental Tennis Club, where five motivated students from different grade levels competed against each other. The matches were played in a round-robin format, with tiebreaks to 11 in a best-of-three format. This allowed each player to complete four matches. Despite the friendly atmosphere, the competition was fierce. There were exciting rallies, close sets, and fair matches. Particularly encouraging was that even less experienced players bravely held their own, making the games thrilling. In the end, Karlson emerged victorious with four wins. Hendrik secured second place, closely followed by Mateo. The tournament was a great success – sporting, fair, and full of joy in the game. The repetition next year is already firmly scheduled.
Conclusion: A boarding school day as we wish for. Whether at paintball, on the tennis court, in Europa-Park, crafting, playing golf, or learning – the boarding school day 2025 was a day full of encounters, movement, excitement, and community. We are already looking forward to 2026.
