Michael Hauck successfully completed his secondary school diploma at the Kurpfalz Internat in 2001. He then went to England. After his time abroad, Michael returned to Bammental and completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant in the family business. Gradually, he took on more responsibility, and under his leadership, the exclusive importer of Italian brands such as Gaggia, Cimbali, Pavoni, Quick, and Vibiemme has become a leading global manufacturer of high-quality espresso machines and grinders “Made in Germany.” “ECM” has now become a hidden champion and produces its handcrafted espresso machines in Bammental, Mauer, and Milan.

Michael is also a designer and “tinkerer” on the side – and always on the lookout for new ideas to make the ECM espresso machines and grinders even better – if that’s even possible.

I, Kirsten Lehmann, was allowed to visit Michael in Bammental at “ECM” and take a look behind the scenes of the espresso manufacturing. A film was created about Michael, about visions and courage, about determination, about the passion for good espresso, about “Dolce Vita” and the good feeling that there are shared roots and a connection that not only feels sustainable but also simply feels beautiful.

Dear Michael, thank you so much for a wonderful day at your amazing manufactory in Bammental. Your warmth, your fantastic team, your openness, your expertise, your courage, your determination, your commitment, and your passion for good espresso will stay with me for a long time. I had the pleasure of meeting a former student and now a successful entrepreneur who is “passionate” about his manufactory, his team, and his sensational machines.
