Triple victory in Bammental – Kurpfalz boarding school achieves the treble
Golf, tennis, bowling—three disciplines, three trophies. Our students are winning all competitions in this year’s team competition against Schloss Torgelow. A sporty weekend full of excitement, commitment, and team spirit.
Golf. Tennis. Bowling. Three sports, three trophies. A historic success for the Kurpfalz boarding school.
What a weekend. In this year’s team competition between Schloss Torgelow and the Kurpfalz boarding school, our students made history. All three disciplines – golf, tennis, and bowling – went to the KPI. That has never happened before.
Golf: Nerve strength in the playoff
The kickoff was the golf tournament at Hohenhardter Hof. The game was played in the challenging four-player mode, where two players take turns hitting the same ball. After nine intense matches, the score was 4.5 to 4.5. A tiebreaker had to decide. Our captain Florian represented the Kurpfalz boarding school. In the direct duel with Anton from Torgelow, he kept his nerves better and secured the first trophy of the weekend with his last putt.
Tennis: Excitement until the last rally.
The next day, we went to the tennis court. It was also a match of equal footing here. Singles and doubles were contested with great effort. Everything was at stake. The decision was made in the very last match. In the final tiebreak, the Kurpfalz boarding school won 12 to 10. This secured our team the tennis trophy – for the first time ever since the establishment of the team competition.
Bowling: The Trophy with a Wink
On the eve of the tennis matches, the bowling cup was played out in a relaxed atmosphere. The competition is traditionally characterized by a lot of team spirit and humor. It was also exciting here until the last round. Thanks to strong throws and good timing, this trophy also went to the KPI. The triple was perfect.
